The Traveling Gavel's Final Journey

In a wonderful night of fellowship and one final drop of the gavel, the Traveling Gavel of Transportation Lodge No. 337, Newport News, VA, after making its rounds to Lodges and Jurisdictions throughout the US, was retired last night in St Alban Birmingham Lodge No. 233. The members of Transportation Lodge No. 337 including WB Brian Croteau, PM, Sec (who created the gavel) and MWPGM William Perdue, GL of Va made the long journey to honor us with a fraternal visit and to retrieve the gavel for its last trip home, where it will now be placed in the Museum of the GL of Va. A wonderful presentation was given by WB Croteau on the history and journeys of the Traveling Gavel. We were honored with the opportunity to use it to confer the EA Degree on our newest member, Alexander Arias.
